The project results prepared by the consortium

WP 2 – GenESG gaps and needs report

Within WP2, a comprehensive GenESG Gaps and Needs Report was developed to analyse the current state of sustainable finance education and the use of generative AI in higher education. Based on desk research, focus groups with academic staff, and student surveys across partner countries, the report identifies key content, skills, and pedagogical gaps. The findings provide a solid evidence base for the development of innovative curricula, skills frameworks, and learning approaches in subsequent work packages.

WP 3 – GenESG Skills Pack and Curricula

WP3 resulted in the development of the GenESG Skills Pack and Curriculum, building directly on the findings of WP2 and aligned with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). The outputs define core competencies, learning outcomes, and thematic areas related to sustainable finance, ESG topics, and the responsible use of generative AI in education. The curriculum is designed in a modular and flexible format, enabling easy integration into existing higher education programmes and adaptation to different institutional contexts.

WP 4 – GenESG Training Package

Within WP4, the project developed the GenESG Training Package, a comprehensive microlearning-based course on sustainable finance enhanced with generative AI. The training package includes structured microlearning units, practical learning scenarios, and an AI-supported digital learning environment that enables interactive and immersive learning. Designed for both students and educators, WP4 translates the GenESG skills and curriculum into practical, engaging, and scalable learning materials, supporting the effective integration of sustainable finance and AI-based teaching methods in higher education.

WP 5 – Raising the awareness and impact of the project results

Dissemination activities of the project aim to ensure visibility, accessibility, and effective uptake of project results among higher education institutions, educators, students, and other relevant stakeholders. Through targeted communication actions, the project raises awareness of innovative approaches to sustainable finance education and the responsible use of generative AI in teaching and learning. Dissemination supports knowledge transfer, encourages wider adoption of project outcomes, and strengthens the project’s impact at institutional, national, and European levels.
