In the GenESG project, we frequently talk about “ESG”—but what exactly does this acronym stand for?
- E stands for Environmental: How a company’s operations affect nature—climate change, energy use, waste.
- S is for Social: How a business interacts with employees, communities, and society—diversity, labor rights, customer privacy.
- G is for Governance: How decisions are made—board diversity, transparency, ethics, anti-corruption.
Together, these factors are used by investors, regulators, and educators to assess whether an organization is not only profitable but also responsible and sustainable.
GenESG aims to embed ESG literacy across finance education—supported by digital tools and AI—for a generation that understands both money and meaning.
