In December 2024, partners from six countries met virtually to kick off the GenESG project. Hosted by FH JOANNEUM (Austria), the coordination meeting set the tone for what promises to be a transformative educational initiative. 

During the kick-off, partners from higher education institutions and a digital innovation SME shared visions, confirmed timelines, and clarified the first actions under Work Package 1 and 2. The meeting included sessions on internal quality assurance, communication planning, and the initial launch of a collaborative platform for task coordination. 

The team also finalized strategies for launching the first research phase: identifying gaps in ESG and sustainable finance education, and exploring how AI tools are—or could be—used in classrooms across Europe. 

The energy, professionalism, and shared commitment of the partners were clear. With this strong foundation, GenESG is well positioned to deliver innovative and impactful results.
